Why a swimming professional doesn't need a "Sense of Humor" to implement laughter?

People believe that in order to laugh one must possess a good sense of humor. In reality, a sense of humor is the brain's capacity to perceive, relate, and experience a situation, judging, if the situation is funny or not. In other words a sense of humor is required for conditional laughter. No one is born with a sense of humor.

In fact, a child's ability to tell jokes is hopeless, they often start laughing before the punch line. Children don't laugh because they have a sense of humor, they laugh because it is in their nature to be joyful. Sadly as we get older, we acquire judgmental skills, as our mental abilities develop during mid and late childhood. We are programmed from joyful to conditional laughter.

I believe an adult needs courage to laugh, to develop the ability to laugh joyfully once again, some adults, yes, even the best swim educators must remove layers of inhibition, programming and mental roadblocks created by self, family, and society. They must learn to let go (and truly become childlike as beneath these barriers lay an infinite ability to laugh.) but the effort is so worth it. Laughter training for Swimming Instructors will be one of the best investments a true swimming professional will ever make. Discover more at  ( Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6537759 )
